A clerk at the Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC) was robbed of her $5,000 bracelet while on the compound of a bank.
The 38-year-old woman reported that around 9 a.m. on Wednesday, she was at the car park along the Eastern Main Road, San Juan when she was accosted by a man. There was a struggle and her $5,000 gold coloured bracelet was taken.
The suspect ran south onto the Priority Bus Route then onto 5th Street, Barataria where he entered a silver coloured Hyundai Elantra and escaped. The victim sustained minor injuries to her right hand. She was taken to the San Juan Health Centre for medical attention and a medical report was obtained on her behalf. Constable Mitchell recorded a report and statement from the victim.
