The National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (NGC) successfully concluded its 2026 Undergraduate Internship Programme, on Friday 14th August. Forty-four interns participated in a restructured six-week initiative designed to provide real-world experience and meaningful learning opportunities for Trinidad and Tobago’s future professionals.
Over the course of the programme, the interns gained valuable exposure to the professional working environment through hands-on project assignments, mentorship from experienced professionals, practical workplace learning and field visits to NGC’s energy installations. They experienced firsthand what it means to contribute to an organisation that plays a critical role in the country’s energy sector. In addition to their departmental assignments, interns participated in a series of developmental workshops covering financial literacy; energy conservation and sustainability; conflict resolution; workplace professionalism and interview skills.
These sessions were designed to equip participants with the knowledge and competencies needed to transition confidently into their future careers.
