A 28-year-old man of Serraneau Road, Belmont, was assaulted and robbed in Woodbrook after being confronted by a man he knows over a social media post.

Police said that between about 4.50 a.m. and 5.10 a.m. the victim had just left Frankie’s Bar and was walking north along Alberto Street when a black Nissan Tiida stopped nearby.

Three men exited the vehicle and one, known to the victim questioned him about a post before shoving him, causing him to stumble and fall.
