Police arrested a man Saturday afternoon after a dramatic confrontation at a fashion store.
Around 4 p.m., officers responded to a report of a theft at a shop along S.S. Erin Road. According to police, the suspect, described as approximately 5’7” tall with a brown complexion, short rasta hairstyle, and wearing a camouflage jersey, blue jeans, and blue crocs, allegedly entered the store and took a cream blouse valued at $25 without paying.
The shop owner followed the suspect outside and pointed him out to responding officers. When police attempted to arrest him, the man resisted, pulling away and forcing officers to engage in a physical struggle. The scuffle ended with the suspect subdued and in police custody, though all involved sustained minor injuries.
