A police officer was injured in an assault by another police officer in Princes Town late Tuesday night.
According to reports, around 11:15 p.m. the 26-year-old officer, attached to the Princes Town Police Station, was standing along High Street near the former Magistrate Court building, speaking with a man he knows, when he was approached by an unknown man.
The suspect, described as of East Indian descent, slim build, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, fair in complexion, and dressed in a police uniform with a grey shirt, blue pants, and a reflective vest, reportedly said to his victim, “Wah you doing here,” before grabbing his T-shirt and slapping him on the side of his face, causing injury.
