A traffic warden was injured on Tuesday following an incident involving a motorist at the Piarco International Airport.
According to a release from the Airports Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (AATT), the incident occurred near the Departures Concourse around mid-morning. The warden was issuing a ticket for a traffic offence when the motorist attempted to drive away. During the attempt, the vehicle reportedly made contact with the officer.
Security personnel from the Airports Authority and officers of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) responded immediately. The motorist was intercepted shortly after at the nearby Piarco Roundabout.
