A traf­fic war­den was in­jured at the Pi­ar­co In­ter­na­tion­al Air­port on Tues­day morn­ing af­ter a mo­torist al­leged­ly drove off while re­ceiv­ing a tick­et.

Ac­cord­ing to the Air­ports Au­thor­i­ty of Trinidad and To­ba­go, the in­ci­dent oc­curred on the De­par­tures Con­course.

Pre­lim­i­nary re­ports state that the traf­fic war­den was is­su­ing a tick­et for a traf­fic vi­o­la­tion when the mo­torist at­tempt­ed to leave, and the ve­hi­cle made con­tact with the of­fi­cer.
