One suspect has been arrested and a stolen vehicle recovered at Piarco International Airport early Monday.
According to a police media release, at approximately 8.40 a.m. motorcyclist PC Byer was on patrol at Piarco International Airport as part of the TTPS increased joint security presence when he responded to a report by Airport Authority police of an incident of a suspected Larceny Motor Vehicle.
Minutes earlier, at 8.36 a.m., a man was attempting to exit the carpark area in a black Volkswagen Touareg SUV when security guards on duty noted a discrepancy with his parking receipt. The guards alerted the Airports Authority who dispatched security officers to the scene and contacted the police.
