Two mayors have highlighted the challenges involved in ensuring workers in the local government regional corporations complete a full day’s work.

At the UNC’s Monday Night Report, Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar instructed Local Government Minister Khadijah Ameen to “clean up” the corporations, criticising the “lazy” workers who, she said, work until 10 a.m. but still take home a full salary.
