Thir­teen men linked by au­thor­i­ties to or­gan­ised crime, gang vi­o­lence, firearms and nar­cotics traf­fick­ing and stolen-ve­hi­cle op­er­a­tions have been placed un­der Pre­ven­tive De­ten­tion Or­ders (PDOs) dur­ing the State of Emer­gency (SoE).

The or­ders, is­sued by Home­land Se­cu­ri­ty Min­is­ter Roger Alexan­der be­tween April and Au­gust, al­lege the men were in­volved in se­ri­ous crim­i­nal ac­tiv­i­ty, with sev­er­al ac­cused of plan­ning fur­ther vi­o­lence.

Ste­fan Alexan­der was or­dered de­tained on Au­gust 17. He was iden­ti­fied by au­thor­i­ties as a mem­ber of the ATB Gang, as a “stash­er and en­forcer” with ac­cess to firearms, am­mu­ni­tion and il­le­gal nar­cotics.
