Police Constable Mohamed Amin, who is attached to the Tactical Services Unit (TSU), was on Thursday slapped with four traffic-related offences and was fined a total of $170,000.
Amin appeared before Magistrate R Weever at the Wales Magistrate’s Court and pleaded guilty to the charges, including dangerous driving, tinted motor vehicle, obscured identification mark, and breach of condition of fitness.
Based on reports received, Amin was intercepted on Saturday, August 22, 2026, while driving motor car PAP 8030. The constable was asked to produce a permit for the vehicle’s tinted windows but was unable to do so.
