INDUSTRIAL Court president Heather Seale is calling for urgent legislative attention to a gap in the law governing the Special Tribunal.
Seale was speaking yesterday at the Industrial Court of Trinidad and Tobago's special sitting for the opening of the 2026-2027 law term, where she outlined challenges facing the court and the wider workplace.
'The Special Tribunal poses a challenge in cases where the chairman of the Essential Services Division, who is also the chairman of the Tribunal, demits office and leaves outstanding judgments in matters that he has chaired.
