Police are investigating a violent home invasion in Valencia on Christmas night, during which a family was assaulted and robbed by multiple armed men.

At around 10:46 p.m., a woman was at home with two family members when all doors and windows had been secured before they retired to bed.

Around 12:15 a.m. on Friday, the woman was awakened by loud banging on the back door. Two men dressed in dark clothing, brandishing cutlasses, forced entry and demanded cellular phones. Fearing for her life and that of her family, she handed over two phones.
