A man was robbed of almost $12,000 worth of branded nuts on Tuesday in Port of Spain.
The man reported to police that around 11.15 a.m. he parked and secured a three-ton Isuzu truck owned by Associated Brands Limited at George Street, Port of Spain near to the Hosein’s Roti shop.
Half an hour later the 27-year-old man returned and found that a lock that secured the container to the back of the truck was missing. When he opened the container, he found that ten cases of branded almonds valued $3,839 gone, one case of honey roasted cashews valued $716 was also gone and 13 cases of branded cashew nuts valued $4,642 missing and eight cases of branded Sun Mix valued $2,757.13. All together the nuts were valued at $11,954.13.
