Kaieteur Sports – The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) continues to invest heavily in the future of the nation’s football through the FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS), a long-term initiative aimed at identifying, nurturing and preparing the country’s brightest young prospects for the demands of regional and international competition.

As Guyana’s Under-14’s gears up for next month’s Caribbean Football Union (CFU) U14 Challenge Series in the Dominican Republic, the programme is set to face one of its biggest tests yet, with several of its beneficiaries preparing to represent the Golden Jaguars on the regional stage.

According to the GFF, the FIFA Talent Development Scheme forms part of FIFA’s global vision to ensure every talented player has access to a structured pathway for development. Through technical expertise, funding, educational resources and continuous monitoring, the programme supports member associations in creating sustainable systems capable of producing internationally competitive national teams.
