Kaieteur Sports – Guyana’s boxing team is primed and ready to step into the ring as the 2026 Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games boxing competition gets underway in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Leading the charge are National Champion Desmond Amsterdam, the experienced Colin Lewis, and the ever-improving Terron Wintz, three determined athletes carrying the hopes and aspirations of a nation with a proud and distinguished boxing tradition.

The team has successfully completed all pre-competition requirements, including mandatory SRY gender eligibility clearance, official weigh-ins, and the competition draw, clearing the way for the Guyanese trio to focus solely on the task ahead.
