Po­lice seized and de­stroyed more than $7 mil­lion worth of cannabis dur­ing a se­ries of an­ti-crime op­er­a­tions con­duct­ed across sev­er­al di­vi­sions on Wednes­day and Thurs­day.

Two sus­pects were ar­rest­ed and a firearm and quan­ti­ties of cannabis were seized dur­ing the ex­er­cis­es, which were car­ried out by mul­ti­ple spe­cialised units.

In one op­er­a­tion around mid­day on Thurs­day (Jan­u­ary 8), of­fi­cers of the Cou­va Po­lice Sta­tion re­ceived in­tel­li­gence that led them to Martha Street.
