Police destroyed approximately 1,800 cannabis trees with an estimated street value of $2.43 million during an intelligence-led operation in Moruga on Thursday.
Officers of the Inter-Agency Task Force and Canine Unit conducted the operation between 10 am and 4:30 pm after acting on intelligence about illegal activity in a forested area at Rock River Village.
While searching the area, the officers discovered a trail which led to a large cannabis field.
