Sev­en sus­pects were ar­rest­ed and a firearm and quan­ti­ties of cannabis seized dur­ing State of Emer­gency op­er­a­tions in the Cen­tral and West­ern Di­vi­sions.

In the first ex­er­cise, Task Force of­fi­cers were on pa­trol in the Carlsen Field dis­trict around 9 pm on Wednes­day 15th Oc­to­ber, 2025, when they in­ter­cept­ed a white Nis­san Almera with five male oc­cu­pants. A search of the ve­hi­cle re­sult­ed in the dis­cov­ery of one Beretta pis­tol with one mag­a­zine con­tain­ing three rounds of am­mu­ni­tion. The sus­pects, ages 21 to 30, were ar­rest­ed in con­nec­tion with the find.

In a sep­a­rate ex­er­cise in the Ch­agua­nas dis­trict, de­tec­tives of the Crim­i­nal In­ves­ti­ga­tions De­part­ment con­duct­ed search­es be­tween 12 noon and 4 pm on Thurs­day. Of­fi­cers then pro­ceed­ed to the Pi­ar­co dis­trict, where they searched the home of a sus­pect and found nine tall cannabis plants. The man was ar­rest­ed in con­nec­tion with the find.
