The police officer involved in the shooting death of his colleague, Jamal Charles, remains in police custody.
The officer, who is being represented by attorneys Steffon Boodooram and Nala Poodan, has been in custody since Friday after he was discharged from the hospital.
Guardian Media understands that the officer has not given the police a statement and is assisting with the investigations. Police are expected to approach the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions later this week for advice on how to proceed.
