Rudranath Indarsingh will not be the candidate for the seat he has held for 15 years.
On Monday morning, Opposition leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar disclosed that the prospective candidate for the Couva South seat of three-time incumbent member of parliament Indarsingh, would be fought by Barry Padarath.
It meant that Padarath, a two-time member of parliament for Princes Town, would be leaving the Princes Town seat vacant for another prospective candidate.
