Padarath to contest Couva South, uncertainty surrounds Indarsingh

Opposition Leader, Kamla Persad-Biessassar, has announced Barry Padarath will be the UNC’s prospective candidate for Couva South.

He replaces incumbent UNC MP, Rudranath Indarsingh. It is unclear whether Indarsingh will be moving to another seat or has been removed altogether.

Padarath has served as Princes Town MP since September 2015. The Opposition Leader also announced Dr Aiyna Ali as the UNC’s Princes Town prospective candidate.
