Two women were robbed while walk­ing along the jog­ging track at Palmiste Park around 7:45 a.m. on Thurs­day.

Pres­i­dent of the Palmiste His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety, Ter­rence Hon­ore, told Guardian Me­dia that a neigh­bour was alert­ed to the in­ci­dent near the Mi­ni Co­coa Es­tate.

“One neigh­bour, armed with his re­volver, went search­ing in the di­rec­tion of the food huts. Po­lice were alert­ed,” Hon­ore said.
