“My girl, my girl, you hit my girl!”
These were the dying words of 31-year-old Joshua Samaroo, as related in a statement given to police last Thursday by his paralysed wife, Kaia Sealy.
While police are yet to formally interview Sealy—who was shot during a police operation that claimed the life of Samaroo on January 20—she has submitted a voluntary statement to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) detailing her recollection of the incident.
