Police are investigating a shooting and robbery in La Horquetta on Friday morning that left a man injured.
Around 10:30 a.m., two men went to the La Horquetta district to purchase gold from an unknown seller. When they arrived at the basketball court in Phase 7, the driver stopped to pick up two men of African descent, one described as slim, red in complexion, about six feet tall, with plats, appearing to be 16 or 17 years old.
While inside the car, the youth reportedly pulled out a firearm and announced a robbery. Both men were relieved of their belongings, including a cellphone, cash, and vehicle keys.
