Police believe Industry businessman shot himself

(Kaieteur News) – Police investigators now believe that 33-year-old businessman Satyanand Persaud, who was found dead inside his car at Ogle, East Coast Demerara (ECD), last Tuesday, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Persaud, of Industry, ECD, was found in his motorcar parked along the Ogle Highway around 13:00hrs on August 11 with a suspected gunshot wound to the chest.
A post-mortem examination conducted on Friday, August 14, confirmed that he died from a gunshot injury to the chest inflicted from close-contact range.
