A 62-year-old retired police constable says he fought for his life after he was attacked by a neighbour’s pitbull outside his Claxton Bay home on Saturday night.
O’Neil Sookoo, of Ramsawak Road, Cedar Hill Road, said around 9.45 p.m. he had just returned home with his family and was walking towards his premises when several stray dogs ran toward him aggressively. Among them, he said, was a light grey dog he believed to be a pitbull.
“My family was with me. I sent them inside and I started to walk up the walkway. The neighbour’s dogs, they have a lot of dogs, start running out the road and start barking at me to rush me,” Sookoo told the Express at his home yesterday.
