Former secretary general of the Communication Workersâ Union (CWU) Clyde Elder will contest the La Brea seat in the 2025 general election under a United National Congress (UNC) ticket.
And Oilfields Workersâ Trade Union (OWTU) vice-Âpresident ErnesÂto Kesar will contest the Point Fortin seat under the UNCâs symbol of the rising sun.
OWTU president general Ancel Roget presented the two candidates to the media yesterday at the UNCâs Chaguanas headquarters before they underwent screening.
