Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar criticised the Opposition’s position on the 2027 budget in the Lower House on Saturday, arguing that their actions in Parliament undermined the interests of the public.
“They abandoned their constituents recently in the parliament when they left the benches. And today they abandoned the people of Trinidad and Tobago. She maintained that her administration remains committed to delivering on its promises to citizens, insisting that political opposition will not derail the government’s plans.
