Skeletal remains were discovered Thursday afternoon during pipeline excavation works at Diamond Boulevard, Union Hall.
According to police, around 2:10 p.m. officers on mobile patrol, led by Ag. Sgt Seecharan, responded to a report made by a WASA project manager. He said that at about 1:45 p.m., the excavator operator noticed bones being unearthed as he carried out digging operations for an ongoing pipeline installation project.
Police officers cordoned off the area and contacted the District Medical Officer, Dr. Santlal, who visited the site and later ordered that the bones be removed for forensic examination.
