RESIDENTS of a community in Mon Repos, San Fernando, were left shaken yesterday after a dog’s discovery led to the recovery of a human skeleton hidden in a bushy area just off the roadway.
The grim discovery was made after a resident noticed his dog carrying something in his mouth, and upon closer inspection, recognised it as a human lower jawbone. The resident contacted the Mon Repos Police Station around 9.10 a.m. and that afternoon, contacted Vallence Rambharat of the Hunters Search and Rescue Team.
Rambharat and members of the search team responded to the report and after searching the area, they discovered a human skeleton lying in the bushes about 200 feet off the road on Wooding Street.
