Two door-to-door salesmen were attacked and robbed while plying their trade in Arouca on Tuesday morning.
Police said around 11 a.m. the men were walking along Spring Road, Five Rivers, when they were confronted by three men who announced a robbery. The criminals reportedly beat the victims and stole several items, including cell phones, a television set, a fan, a blender, a pressure cooker, a Bluetooth speaker, a gold chain, a tablet, and cash.
Officers of the Cumuto Police District, led by WPC Scott, visited the scene and launched an investigation. One suspect was later arrested and some of the stolen items were recovered.
