(Kaieteur News) ā A six-year-old Chinese boy was chopped to death at Parika, East Bank Essequibo Wednesday afternoon, police have confirmed.
Dead is Ifeng Cao. In a statement police said the incident occurred Wednesday afternoon. Initial enquiries revealed that at about 15:45hrs, the child sustained a chop wound to his neck during an incident involving a male Chinese national. The child was taken to the De Kinderen Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival by a doctor. The male Chinese national was subsequently arrested and is presently in Police custody. Investigations are ongoing. āFurther information will be provided as it becomes available,ā police said in a statement.
