(Kaieteur News) – Magistrate Omadatt Chandan on Monday further remanded 76-year-old Chinese businessman Quan Sheng Li to prison until 5th November, 2026, following the chopping to death of six-year-old Ifeng Cao at Parika, East Bank Essequibo.
When the matter was called, the court was informed that the police prosecution file is incomplete. Key documentation, including the Post-Mortem Examination (PME) report and several outstanding witness statements, is yet to be submitted to the court.
Li is charged with the murder of young Ifeng Cao, who was fatally attacked on a Wednesday afternoon shortly after returning home from school.
