A 47-day-old baby boy, Cardlay Del Valle, died on Tuesday evening and was pronounced dead at the Chaguanas Health Facility.

Police officers went to the facility around 5 p.m. after a sudden death was reported. The infant, dressed in a yellow outfit, showed signs of bruising. His 19-year-old mother and 33-year-old father, residents of Ragoonanan Drive, Cunupia, were present when officers arrived.

A medical examination was conducted by the attending doctor who requested a post-mortem to determine the cause of death.
