A 47-day-old baby was pronounced dead at the Chaguanas Health Facility on Tuesday evening.

Newsday was told that police responded to a report of a sudden death at the facility around 5 pm and found the body of the baby boy lying on a bed with bruises about its body. An autopsy was ordered and the body was taken to a funeral home for safekeeping.

Earlier that day, a 20-month-old girl was found dead at her Lowkey Trace, Penal home.
