Father of two Bissoon Ramlakhan, 42, of Talparo Main Road, Christine Hill, has died following a violent assault a month ago.

According to relatives, Ramlakhan was savagely beaten along Talparo Main Road. The injuries were so severe that at one point, he lost the ability to speak, and his family said his speech was significantly affected by the trauma. He was taken to the hospital for treatment and subsequently transferred to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, Mt Hope.

Ramlakhan was readmitted to hospital on two occasions as his condition worsened and he succumbed to his injuries on November 20.
