Police are searching for two suspects who assaulted and robbed a Siparia pensioner on Wednesday.
According to a police report, around 9.45 a.m. on May 21 the 79-year-old woman was in the kitchen of her home at Quarry Village, Siparia with both front doors unlocked and opened when she was accosted by two men, who both announced a robbery.
Both suspects dealt the victim several blows about her head and body and tied her hands and feet together. The suspects then proceeded to relieve her of TT $5000, one 50” Hisense television, one 32” television, a quantity of gold jewellery, and two 20lbs gas tanks, together valued TT $700.
