Police are investigating a daring robbery at the Royalton Casino in Crown Point on Monday morning.
Around 8.30 a.m., a 25-year-old cashier was using the washroom when she heard commotion and went to investigate. She was confronted by two masked men dressed in dark clothing with reflective vests and hats, one of whom was armed with a firearm. The men demanded money, slapped the victim, and gathered several bags of currency from a gambling table.
The assailants dragged the victim through parts of the casino before firing shots at a door where staff had barricaded themselves. The suspects eventually escaped through a hole in the front gate and fled west along the Store Bay Local Road Extension.
