‘Dilapidated’ school

Members of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) at the Marabella North Secondary School yesterday described the school as being in a dilapidated state. They called for the Ministry of Education’s intervention.

PTA vice-president and a former student at the school Marlon Jaikaran said it was disheartening to observe the condition of the school.

“The classrooms are unfit for teaching purposes (and) for children going in there to start to learn for the coming new term. When you come out to learn, you need to have somewhere safe and comfortable and clean, and they are not getting it in the school.”
