An attempted robbery at a popular Chinese restaurant in Curepe ended with one suspect shot and both in police custody after the victim, a licensed firearm holder, defended himself during the attack.
The incident occurred around 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday, at Xing Hui Chinese Restaurant, located at #117 Southern Main Road, Curepe.
The 69-year-old victim told police he was waiting to collect his order when a man and a woman entered the establishment. Can you identify a road or bridge you consider dangerous? The male suspect, described as dark in complexion and wearing a black vest and blue jeans, allegedly approached him and said, "Gih meh wah yuh have dey," before reaching into the victim's pocket and grabbing his wallet.
