A late-night robbery along Marshall Road, Carlsen Field on Monday has left a 31-year-old Barrackpore man nursing a gunshot wound and a 27-year-old woman from Enterprise recovering from head injuries.
Police said around 11:00 p.m. on May 26, the woman was driving a Mazda 323 accompanied by her boyfriend and another individual when she stopped the car after one of the occupants said he needed to urinate.
During the stop, two armed men dressed in dark clothing approached and announced a robbery. The male victim was ordered to lie on the road and was shot in his right foot. The female driver was struck multiple times in the head with the firearm.
