Emergency services have responded to a serious incident at San Fernando Hill, where a vehicle reportedly plunged over a precipice, with a mother and daughter.

A rescue operation is in progress with fire, police services, and paramedics, and members of hunters search and rescue teams.

Police have reported that a six-year-old girl was rescued.
