A mother and her six-year-old daughter were injured after their car plunged about 200 feet down a precipice near the San Fernando Hill yesterday.
Police said around 4.10 pm, a gold-coloured Nissan Tiida driven by Kahaema Byer, 44, of Palmiste, San Fernando, was heading north down the San Fernando Hill. Her daughter, Isabella, six, was also in the car.
Upon reaching near the Haji Shaffick Rahaman Park, which is a dangerous bend, Byer reportedly lost control of the car. The vehicle subsequently ran off the roadway and plunged approximately 200 feet down a precipice on the western side of the steep slope, landing in some bushes at the bottom.
