A soldier with the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force (TTDF), working as a ride-share driver, was abducted, assaulted, and shot at in Maraval after picking up two male passengers in Laventille on Monday afternoon.
According to police reports, the 40-year-old lance corporal, who is stationed at Camp Ogden, was operating his white Toyota Raize, under All Ridi Limited when he picked up a passenger at the corner of Pashley Street and Eastern Main Road, Laventille, around 2:30 p.m. on Monday.
The passenger, described as a man of African descent in his early to mid-20s, requested a ride to Moka, Maraval.
