A sol­dier, who was shot by armed men dur­ing a rob­bery at his home in Ari­ma on Tues­day, re­mains hos­pi­talised in a sta­ble con­di­tion up to yes­ter­day.

Po­lice said the 24 year old, who is as­signed to Camp Cu­mu­to, was shot in the left thigh, while his 50-year-old fa­ther was shot in the left knee dur­ing the in­ci­dent at Punette Av­enue, Pin­to, Ari­ma.

The sol­dier re­port­ed­ly awoke around 5.40 am on No­vem­ber 4 to pre­pare for work and no­ticed his front gate open.
