A delivery man was robbed of $1,700 in newspapers, his van and other items in the early hours of Friday morning.
It was around 3.10 a.m. that he went to Pleasantville while conducting newspaper deliveries in his $45,000 blue van. At the Pleasantville Village Plaza he was approached by a man. His face was covered with a disposable mask and he had a sharp object in his hand.
The 30-year-old of Gasparillo was robbed of his $1,500 cell phone and $300. The bandit then drove off with his vehicle which contained $200 and a quantity of newspapers valued $1,700. Police’s efforts to locate the van were unsuccessful.
