A RIO Claro retiree was bound with a shoelace on Friday and robbed of a quantity of cash during a home invasion on Friday.
According to a police report, the 65-year-old was at home, when around 7.08 p.m. he heard his dogs barking excessively. When he opened the door to check on his pets, he was ambushed by two men.
The men took him inside the house, where they told him to lie on his stomach on the floor, and tied his hands behind his back using a shoelace. One of the men stood guard while the other ransacked his two-storey home, taking a quantity of cash. The men then fled the scene.
