A 22-year-old British national was intercepted by Customs and Excise officers while attempting to smuggle marijuana into Trinidad and Tobago through Piarco International Airport, estimated at over $5 million.
According to reports, during routine passenger clearance operations, Customs officers at the airport referred the British national for further examination of their luggage.
During the examination, officers discovered a quantity of plant-like material concealed within the passenger’s baggage.
