Body of missing child discovered, father confesses

Kaieteur News – Police in Region Five (Mahaica-Berbice) have confirmed the discovery of the body of six-year-old Orlando Jaikarran, who had been missing from his Bath Settlement, West Coast Berbice home since last Wednesday.

The child’s father has confessed to killing his son, despite initially emphasising that he loved his children too much to ever harm them. He had previously maintained that he was at home last Wednesday when his two other children informed him that Orlando was not in the house.

The father and two other individuals were arrested and questioned as police launched investigations into the child’s disappearance.
